With experience in private practice, Lauren enjoys working with a wide range of people across all ages, and loves helping people get back to their normal activities.
Lauren has a particular interest in the therapeutic benefits of yoga – including the physical, mental and emotional aspects of wellbeing. She is a qualified Therapeutic Yoga instructor and can help you recover from pain and injury using a variety of yoga exercises and techniques, as well as blending this knowledge with her physiotherapy skills. When make a booking, you can request for a 30 or 60 minute yoga therapy session with Lauren. She also teaches group yoga classes.
She believes that education and knowledge are critical components of recovery. Lauren has extensive experience in sporting injuries – she has previously worked with the Old Xavier seniors sides, and is currently the team physiotherapist for the Chirnside Park Football Club (EFL). Whenever you come and see Lauren, she will give you a good lecture about how to look after yourself, as well as have a great chat about all things travel, sport, food and wine! When she is not in the clinic Lauren is likely spotted doing yoga or eating brunch around Clifton Hill.
Fun facts: Lauren’s favourite food is Thai green curry, and she supports the Melbourne Demons in AFL (If things don’t improve she might change to the Hawks next year). From many years of competitive snow sports, Lauren has broken her left wrist and left leg. She has also subluxed her left shoulder and torn a left knee meniscus. Ask her about rehab!
